TPWD “Thank You Letter” regarding recent workshop

District 3 Director Don Hightower recently met with staff from Gus Engeling Wildlife Management Area to provide a workshop on effective snaring techniques. Workshops, such as this, are mutually beneficial in educating the public about the importance of trapping and TTFHA appreciates the opportunity.

A letter from Jeffery W. Gunnels, the Project Leader of the Middle Trinity River Ecosystem Project, regarding the experience is posted below.

Thank you letter

A job well done Mr.Hightower. It is these types of things that really benefit our Trapping Heritage as who better to teach and pass along this great tradition and management tool to besides our youth and that would be our Texas Parks and Wildlife employees ,many of whom may have never been exposed to trapping and snaring. Thank you Sir for giving of your time to do this.
